In January 2023, 19 members of Calvary Baptist Church traveled to Chikindzonot, Yucatán, to spend a week serving the community. We witnessed powerful God stories as we shared the gospel, provided a month’s supply of corn to each family, and led Bible study for women and men’s discipleship sessions.
We also worked to improve the church’s facilities by running electricity to the church palapa, installing indoor lighting for evening services, and adding an outside light for safety. These improvements allowed the community to hold night services, something that had been difficult without proper lighting. While we believe we made a meaningful impact for God’s glory, we know that the experience transformed us forever through our time on mission. |
